| Hi, my name is
Barbara Staten. I have been teaching for four years. I am currently working
on my Educational Specialist in Biology. I have been participating in
graduate classes through the Discovery Hall Program at Dauphin Island for
the past two summers. Before going into education my background was as a
Biologist for the government working on coastal wetlands and water quality
of reservoirs and their downstream systems. My family has lived in Mobile since 1990. My daughter, Keli, is fifteen and keeps us busy with church and puppets, band and school. I am thrilled and honored to be able to participate in the SEAS program. I am so excited about the cruise and the opportunity to learn and participate in real science. |
