This morning we helped John with more MOCHNESS samples.  Once we were all done filtering those samples, we filtered our CTD samples.  We go through it prettly smoothly now!!!  That afternoon we anchored about a mile away from Dauphin Island.  We were picking Heather and two other people up.  The sad thing was we had to say goodbye to Mrs. Huffman.  She had to get off because there was no room on the boat for her.  Most of the people left to help Heather bring more supplies. We stayed there for a while and just relaxed and help John and Kelly get ready for the busy days ahead.  When everyone was on board and situated, they had a brief meeting discussing which stations we would start at and which order we would follow.  Each station would either be full or partial.  At a full station, we did a CTD, jellycam, and a MOCHNESS.  At a partial one, we did just the jellycam and MOCHNESS.  Each station would take approximately one to two hours depending if everything went smoothly.  That evening we went to three stations!!!  It was busy the rest of the night.  Now that Heather was back, we helped her filter the samples and John went back outside.  She had to be the teacher now that Mrs. Huffman was gone; so she taught us all about plankton!
