| Hi. My name is Carter Johnston Jr. I am from Mobile, Alabama, where I attend Murphy High School. My ambitions include music and journalism, but growing up on the coast has also instilled in me an interest in marine science. At school, I write for the newspaper. I spend a lot of my free time playing the guitar and generally just spending time with friends, but this past summer I was given the opportunity to take part in the Discovery Hall Program at the Dauphin Island Sea Lab. I share a house with my parents, my younger brother, a dog, and a cat. My sister is married and lives in Atlanta, Georgia. Obviously, I would like to pursue a career in journalism, but I do not know what I would like to write for or about. Programs like this give me the chance to experience things that I am interested in that may help me later. | |
