Teacher Profile

Name:     Stan Arrington, Science Teacher

High School:     Auburn High School, Alabama.

Stan was 'born and raised' in the small town of Opelika, Alabama near his current home of Auburn.  Stan received his bachelor's degree in the Natural Sciences from the University of Alabama. He is currently working on his master's degree in Science Education from Auburn University. In fact, Stan will receive both graduate credit towards his degree and 'Professional Development Units' for his participation in the SEAS Project.  Stan feels his participation in SEAS will help him 'expand real-life science experiences for interested students'. Stan also feels strongly that his greatest impact on both students and the 'greater community' will occur upon his return from the cruise.  Perhaps Stan will also have opportunities to develop some of his personal hobbies (like nature photography and fishing) during his SEAS cruise! We'll be looking forward to seeing some of Stan's photos on the SEAS photo page very soon.
